SPRING LAKES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
2025 POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
In adopting these rules for use of the pool, the Board’s goal is to ensure the safety, well-being and
enjoyment of all pool users.
The rules are the current requirements governing the use, operation, and availability of the
Spring Lakes swimming pool. These rules are for the safety and protection of all owners,
residents and their guests. Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate removal from the
pool and suspension of pool privileges. These rules may be amended at any time. Hours of
operation for the pool will be posted outside of the pool/bathhouse area.
PERMITTED USERS AND ENTRY:
- The lifeguards control entry to the pool. Entry is restricted when the pool is at its occupancy load
of 137. Guests may bring their own chair. - Each household is allowed 4 guests at any given time. This number may be revised from time to
time. Residents are required to ensure their guest(s) are aware of and adhere to all pool rules. - Only owners and residents may register for pool passes. You must be enrolled in the pool pass
system, Cell Badge, in order to enter the pool. Passes may be authorized to non-residents on a case
by case basis. - The lifeguards or staff members of the Pool management company may restrict and revoke pool
passes for any unsafe, inappropriate or disruptive behavior. All pool patrons must adhere to the
direction of lifeguards. - 5. Any non-proficient swimmers (anyone who lacks the skills to swim effectively without assistance
or is dependent on floatation aids) and those who cannot stand steadily in 3 feet of water MUST be
within arms reach of a parent or guardian at all times while in the pool area. - Non-lap swimmers should take caution not to interfere or cause to interfere with individuals
swimming laps in the lap lane (lane farthest away from the parking lot). - Children ages 14 and younger MUST be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult
(an adult is defined as a qualified, responsible member of the community or their designate,
18 years of age or older) while in the pool enclosure or pool clubhouse. - Children 15, 16 and 17 years old may be admitted to the pool unaccompanied provided they
demonstrate good swimming skills and are well-behaved. - Lifeguards may conduct a swimming test to ensure swimming ability of anyone using the
pool. - Lifeguards may reject or refuse admission to individuals who violate these rules or pose a
safety risk. - Admittance to the pool will be denied and pool passes revoked for any homeowner or their
tenant who is not in good standing with the Association. This includes those who: (a) are
delinquent (60 days past due) on their assessment payment, (b) have been cited for a failure to
follow the Association governing documents, including failure to maintain their home,
parking violations, failing to request approval for architectural modification to their property
or (c) other unresolved Association violation(s). - All residents and their guests must sign-in and sign-out with the lifeguard. Guests must be
accompanied at all times by the resident host while in the pool area. - Entry will be denied to anyone with any of the following conditions: Covid symptoms,
communicable diseases, wearing bandages, skin abrasions, coughs, colds, severely enflamed
eyes, infections, open sores, excessive sunburn, or nasal or ear discharge. - All residents and guests are required to enter and exit the pool through the clubhouse
restrooms. The gate on the pool fence enclosure is for emergency access only. - All children accompanied by an adult must be closely monitored and supervised at all times
while in the pool or on the pool deck. Lifeguards WILL NOT be babysitters for children left
unattended.
HEALTH AND SAFETY: - All swimmers must shower before entering the water or risk suspension of pool use
privileges. - All swimmers must wear appropriate swimming attire. Street clothes of all types are
prohibited in the pool. Any person with incontinence issues must wear swim diapers and
should be appropriately dressed and regularly checked. - Residents or their guests will be held responsible for the cost of closing the pool and cleaning
as a result of accidents. - Bicycles, Scooters, any types of skates (i.e. roller or in line}, wheeled vehicles (except attended
strollers and wheelchairs} are not allowed in the pool enclosure. - Pets are not allowed in the pool enclosure or in the pool clubhouse.
- Lifeguards have authority to close the pool for weather, equipment failure, or other hazardous or unsafe conditions
LIABILITY: - Anyone using the pool does so at his or her own risk. The Association is not
responsible for theft or loss or damage of any personal property at the pool or
pool house. Unclaimed items may be discarded after fourteen days by the pool
management company. - Lifeguards will be on duty, at all times, during pool operating hours to ensure safe swimming
conditions. Supervision of children is the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult. - Residents are liable for damages to community facilities caused by them,
their tenants, family members or guests. - Persons using the pool are responsible for observing conditions and promptly reporting anv
unsafe conditions to the pool management staff.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: - Running, pushing, wrestling, acrobatics, or any type of horseplay anywhere in the pool
enclosure is prohibited. - No diving is allowed off the pool deck.
- No hanging from the basketball rims, nets, or backboards.
- Spitting, spouting water, and nose blowing are not permitted.
- No abusive, offensive, or profane language shall be permitted.
- Smoking is prohibited.
- Any behavior causing a safety issue, is disruptive or that is a detriment to others will not be
tolerated. individual(s) who are responsible for such behavior will be immediately removed
from the pool at the discretion of a either a member of the Pool Management Company, a
member of the Association management company, or an Association board member.
FOOD AND DRINK: - Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Chewing gum is not allowed in the pool enclosure.
- Food and refreshments are permitted within the deck and picnic area. No eating or drinking
is allowed in the swimming pool.
ITEMS IN THE POOL ENCLOSURE: - Glass (except for eyewear) is prohibited.
- The use of toys and rafts is allowed in the pool, at the discretion of the lifeguard on
duty, based on the number of people in the pool. Toys shall be properly returned to the toy
trunk after use. It is not the lifeguard’s responsibility to pick up and store pool toys.
Otherwise, all toys will be removed from the pool area. - No barbecue grills are allowed in the pool area or on the recreation facilities without prior
written approval from the Association. - The pool management staff (including lifeguards), the community management
staff or board members have the authority to take immediate action to address
specific problems or situations not specifically addressed by these rules.
