Dear Spring Lakes neighbors,
We would like to thank all our residents for their patience as our snow removal contractor worked through a very difficult and unusual statewide snow emergency event January 24-26th that combined heavy snow accumulation topped with several inches of ice followed by plunging freezing temperatures. VDOT struggled to clear some of our main roadways they are responsible for adding to the challenges for residents.
We would also like to extend our thanks to all who cleared the sidewalks they are responsible for in front of and adjacent to their lots, and those who assisted their neighbors with doing so under these difficult and physically demanding circumstances.
As a reminder, residents are responsible for clearing snow and ice accumulated on the sidewalk in front of and adjacent your lot, per the governing documents of the association; the HOA contractor only clears sidewalks that do not abut homeowners’ lots, and 2 trails in the community. As temperatures permit, please clear your sidewalks of snow and ice to allow for safe passage and please do not shovel snow onto sidewalks, into the cleared areas of the street or block fire hydrants.
Sincerely,
The Spring Lakes HOA Board of Directors
